The horticultural fields of Maciamboza and Nhacama, in Cheringoma, mark the first harvest of the community fields established under the Triple Resilience Project (3R). Beneficiary families celebrate the results of their collective efforts by harvesting a variety of fresh and nutritious vegetables. The initiative, aims to transform the daily lives of communities, bringing not only food, but also improved food production techniques.

This being the first harvest in the fields, it shows the project's contribution in encouraging communities to improve their diet and have surpluses for sale, opening up new income-generating opportunities in vulnerable regions.

Each product harvested symbolises a profound change in horticultural production in these fields and shows how the Triple Resilience (3R) project strengthens social cohesion, promoting sustainable water use and inspiring new forms of climate-smart agriculture.

The experience in Maciamboza and Nhancama demonstrates how the combination of innovation and cooperation can bring about lasting transformation in vulnerable communities. The harvest reflects improvements in food and nutritional security in these communities.
